Fruit of the Spirit "JOY"
What does it really mean to have joy? Not the fleeting happiness that comes and goes with our circumstances, but a deep, sustaining joy that holds us steady even in the hardest seasons of life. That is exactly what we explore in this message, drawing from John 15 and the powerful imagery of the vine and the branches. Jesus makes it clear that apart from Him we can do nothing, but when we remain connected to Him, we bear fruit, and that fruit includes joy. This is not a joy we manufacture on our own. It is a joy the Holy Spirit produces in us as we stay rooted in Christ. We see this truth echoed all the way back in the Old Testament, where the people of Israel celebrated with genuine joy not because their circumstances were easy, but because they watched God change the heart of a foreign king to accomplish His purposes. Joy, at its core, is the attitude of believing God will do what He says. It is choosing to live as if His promises are already on their way, because they are. This message invites us to examine whether joy is truly present in our lives and, if it is not, to ask what might be standing in the way.
